And I understand some of you user are going to say that it isn’t so, but what’s the game, try it and I guarantee you will get top page ranking at google. Also before I begin, google changes its algorithm periodically, this is the process when this article is written. Even if the algorithm do change you wont be thrown too back to not come back again. As truly said, “When you hit the bottom there’s one place to go and that’s up”. Same applies to your web-site too: Lets make this article more lively, start from the beginning, let the user search for say “screen capture”, now he presses search and the search to be found starts: 1. Google Directory: If your site is listed in a directory whose location contains the keywords, like in our case, Computer->Software->Windows->Graphics->Screen Capture, then that’s it. Your site comes under consideration. 2. Link Popularity: Yes, you have been hearing about this all the while and I am going to tell you, you weren’t wrong. It does matter. If a lots of sites are linking back to your site than your competitor then this is the second privilege. 3. Domain Name: If your domain name contains the keywords that’s another plus point. Like a site in our case screencapture.com or screen-capture.com have their favor. 4. Meta Tags: Description tag and Keyword tag is important. Don’t assume that google-bot don’t reach the bottom of your page, it does reach every single point of your page. Do this optimization from the last one to the first one. Every single point is important, and link popularity is to be given important because it is generally ignored. Good luck.
